Study Finds Illegal Immigration Will Shift Electoral College In Favor Of Democrats

Published

on

This is exactly what open-border Dems & socialists have been planning. Anyone in the country illegally should not be counted in the census which determines how many House seats each state gets.

“A new analysis finds that immigration will dramatically reshape the Electoral College map in favor of the Democratic Party after completion of the 2020 census.

Rising immigrant populations around the United States will result in several solidly Democratic states gaining more seats in the House of Representatives at the expense of solidly Republican states, the study by the Center for Immigration Studies finds. The shift ultimately will give the Democratic Party more influence in the Electoral College, CIS says.

As the 2020 census approaches, the Center for Immigration Studies conducted the study to predict what the Electoral College map will look like after the counting is done.

Under current policy, all individuals are included in the population count, regardless of citizenship or immigration status. Democrat-dominated states are expected to be bolstered with more congressional representation—thus giving them more influence in the Electoral College—thanks to their burgeoning immigrant populations.

All immigrant populations—including naturalized citizens, legal residents, and illegal aliens—and their American-born children will redistribute 26 House seats in 2020, the CIS study predicts.

Of the 26 seats predicted to shift, 24 are expected to be taken away from states that voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election. Ohio is expected to lose three seats; Pennsylvania and Michigan likely will lose two; and 18 states likely will lose one seat: Arkansas, Alabama, Idaho, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin, and West Virginia, according to the study.

California, already a behemoth of the Electoral College, is predicted to gain 11 seats after the 2020 census is completed. New York likely will gain four more seats. New Jersey likely will come out with two more seats, and Massachusetts and Illinois likely will each gain one more seat.

The only traditionally red state to see gains is Texas, which is expected to notch four more House seats. Florida, which is considered a swing state but trends toward the GOP, will earn three more seats, under the CIS analysis. Rhode Island and Minnesota are expected to lose one congressional district each.

“While it’s clear that American citizens in low-immigration states lose from mass immigration, the winners are not necessarily the non-citizens who cause the reapportionment, since they cannot vote or otherwise fully take part in the political process. Instead, it is citizens who live in the same districts with non-citizens whose political power is enhanced,” the authors of the CIS study concluded, adding:

Put simply, in a district in which a large share of the population cannot vote, those who do vote count more than citizens in districts where almost everyone is an American citizen. Put a different way, large noncitizen populations take voting power from some Americans and give it to other American citizens in high-immigration districts.”

Walking Up Kolfage's Border Wall – Final Day Of Construction

This is a video I shot on the day we were placing the final bollard section at the top of Airman Kolfage's border wall we built. I walked from the bottom to the top. It was around 100 degrees out. I was on the mountain 15 hours that day (It was actually my birthday), documenting the final section being put in. I sped up the video so it's in time-lapse format. Projects 2 & 3 are starting soon. Thanks for everyone's support! Donate for sections 2 & 3 here: https://webuildthewall.us/donation-form/

Border Patrol Arrests Smuggler With 42 Illegals, Most Crammed In 12×6 Utility Trailer

Talk about a disregard for human life. The smuggler locked the trailer from the outside & gave the illegals no food or water. This was most likely a cartel smuggling operation.

CALEXICO, Calif. – El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro station arrested a man suspected of smuggling 42 illegal immigrants, which most were dangerously packed in a towed utility trailer Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 8 a.m., when agents observed a man driving a Ford F-250 with an enclosed utility trailer in tow. The vehicle was traveling away from a location that is known for human and narcotic smuggling.

Border Patrol agents conducted a vehicle stop and questioned the driver as to his citizenship. The driver stated that he was a Mexican citizen and indicated to the agents that there were people inside the trailer.

Border Patrol agents inspected the vehicle and trailer, which revealed 42 undocumented immigrants, 38 of which were in the trailer. The individuals inside the trailer were without food, water, ventilation or safety restraints. Additionally, the trailer was locked from the outside leaving the individuals with no way of exiting in case of an emergency. The trailer measured 12 feet by 6 feet, forcing the 38 individuals, two being juveniles, to cram together with no room for movement.

The driver, a 31-year-old man was determined to be a Mexican national illegally present in the United States.

The driver and all 42 undocumented immigrants, which included a total of three juveniles, were placed under arrest and transported to the Calexico station for further investigation.

“These individuals were put in extreme circumstances by a callous smuggling organization,” said Acting Chief Patrol Agent Ryan J. Scudder. “In the event of an accident the amount and degree of injuries could have been catastrophic. I am so grateful that our agents were able to keep these people from harm.”

US Sending Military Police To Two Border Crossings To Deal With Crowds Of Asylum-Seekers

PHOENIX (AP) — The U.S. government says it is sending 160 military police and engineers to two official border crossings to deal with asylum seekers in case a federal appeals court strikes down one of the Trump administration’s key policies.

Senior Customs and Border Protections officials said Friday that active-duty personnel will be in place by Saturday at ports of entry in El Paso and San Diego. They’ll also send aviation support.

The deployment is in response to a crowd of asylum-seekers that gathered at an El Paso crossing last Friday after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily struck down the program known as “Remain in Mexico,” which forces asylum seekers to stay in Mexico while their cases wind through court in the U.S. Officials shut down that border crossing for several hours that evening before the court reversed itself.

On Wednesday, the court again made a decision on the case, this time blocking the program in Arizona and California, the two border states under its authority. About 60,000 asylum-seekers have been returned to Mexico while awaiting their immigration hearings in the U.S.

Critics call the program inhumane and dangerous, forcing vulnerable people to wait in high-crime Mexican border cities where they are often subjected to violence, extortion and kidnapping.

But “Remain in Mexico,” which the government calls the Migrant Protection Protocols, has been one of the most successful tools in the administration’s battle to stem the large number of asylum seekers looking for refuge in the U.S.

The Trump administration is asking the U.S. Supreme Court, which has consistently ruled in the administration’s favor on immigration policies, to intervene and wants the policy to stay in effect until next week to give the high court time to decide.

In the meantime, authorities say they’re preparing for more large groups of asylum seekers in case the appeals court strikes down the policy. Seeking asylum at ports of entry is legal, but the government has gone to great lengths to prevent migrants from doing so, including a “metering” policy that requires asylum-seekers to wait on an unofficial list for months before they are even allowed to walk up to a U.S. agent and seek protection.
