Border Patrol, HSI Stop Human Smuggling Attempt – 25 Illegal Aliens In Cargo Truck

SARITA, Texas –With the help of a K-9, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Javier Vega, Jr. Checkpoint in Sarita, Texas, assisted Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in stopping a potentially dangerous human smuggling attempt.

On Wednesday, Border Patrol agents were alerted by HSI that an investigation led them to believe a cargo vehicle loaded with illegal aliens would attempt to travel through the checkpoint. The suspect vehicle arrived at the primary inspection lane for an immigration inspection at the Javier Vega, Jr. Checkpoint where a service K-9 alerted. During a secondary inspection, agents discovered 25 subjects. They were found inside the cargo area that had a temperature of nearly 100 degrees. The subjects were from the countries of Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico. All subjects were illegally present in the United States.

The case remains under investigation.

In a separate incident at the Javier Vega, Jr. Checkpoint, Border Patrol agents referred a vehicle to secondary inspection following a K-9 alert. During the subsequent search, agents discovered 450 Xanax pills and a loaded firearm. The case was referred to local authorities for investigation.

Sex Offender Illegally Entering US Arrested By Border Patrol Agents On CA Border

CALEXICO, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Sector arrested a man on Monday convicted of a sexual offense.

The incident occurred at around 11:49 a.m., when agents assigned near downtown Calexico observed a man illegally enter the United States. The man was placed under arrest and transported to El Centro Station for further processing.

Records checks revealed that the man, a 35-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, had a conviction on December 25, 2010, for “Assault to commit mayhem/rape” out of Salinas. The man was sentenced to 3 years confinement for his conviction.

Additionally, an Immigration Judge had previously ordered the man removed from the United States on October 18, 2011.

The man was processed criminally for 8 USC 1326 Reentry of Removed Aliens.

In fiscal year 2020, El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents have arrested and removed 41 individuals either convicted or wanted on sexual offense charges after they entered the United States illegally.

Border Patrol Apprehends MS-13 Gang Member Entering The US Illegally Near Ocotillo, CA

The last thing we need in this country is more gang members especially with the recent violence perpetrated by the radical left. Thank God Border Patrol is out there apprehending these dangerous criminals!

OCOTILLO, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Sector arrested a dangerous gang member on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at around 1 a.m., when agents assigned to the El Centro Station encountered a man suspected of illegally entering the United States approximately 29 miles west of the Calexico West Downtown Port of Entry near the Jacumba Mountains. Agents arrested the man and transported him to the El Centro Station for immigration and criminal history screening.

Agents conducted records checks, which revealed that the man, a 45-year-old El Salvadorian national, is a documented Mara Salvatrucha MS-13 gang member with a criminal history.

The gang member is being held in federal custody pending further criminal prosecution.
